A Prologue of Sorts

I’m driving through Zion National Park in Utah, undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking, wonderful, magnificent, spectacular, incredible, stunning. astounding places in this world (and possibly others).  More on my love for Zion to come later…

Music is streaming from my iPod through the speakers.  My head is bobbing and my ponytail bouncing to the beat.  I’m attempting to sing, something that could easily rival “The Worst of American Idol.”

I’ve got one hand on the smooth, microfiber covered steering wheel and one hand holding my camera, finger tapping the top at a rate that could be considered for the “Guinness World Records,” if there was one for ‘fastest fingers.’

I’ve got a cup of coffee nestled safely in my cup holder. Once every so often, I stop taking pictures long enough to grab a sip of it.  If there was an option, I would have an IV inserted allowing coffee to continually pump into my bloodstream.

In spite of the upbeat ambiance and my seemingly hyper movements, I have a rare sense of serenity and peace.

Besides the gorgeous scenery surrounding me, it could have been any other trip in the car.  Well, any other trip in the car for me, a girl in her Element.
